This forum was established in 1995 by the Australian National
University to provide a world-wide communications vehicle for exchange
of scholarly and factual information dealing with
Tibet. The forum is not a usual discussion list, and thus the
all forms of political propaganda, flaming, personal bias and
predilections are to be resolutely avoided in communications to the
